Binge Worthy Tv Series

If  you are a home body like me, I'm guessing one of your worries is having to look for new shows to watch when you're done with one. You don't have to worry about that anymore cause I got you. I've taken the time out to put together my top favorite TV shows for you to see.

Shadow and bone

A meticulously crafted fantasy series that'll keep you engrossed until the end. I really enjoyed this show so much! I loved the casting, acting, costumes, and everything this show had to offer. I binged it in one day and I'm definitely going to re-watch it. It is undoubtedly one of the best fantasy TV shows that I've watched. Every actor did a faithful justification to their respective roles and it's evident on-screen. The show embodies action, humor, romance and drama in a wholesome and entertaining package. The show becomes highly addictive and binge-watchable after the first episode and the quality of each episode remains consistent until the end of the season. It is rated 88% on rotten tomatoes.

The Crown

The crown is truly addictive. I'll admit I am not particularly interested in the goings on of the British monarchy prior to The crown but after watching I was delighted by the scandalous nature of the story lines that were based on real events. This show has everything to keep an audience glued to the screen, the cinematography and music are captivating. The crown is wonderful at showing complex characters and has top-notch acting from Claire Foy to Olivia Colman.
Each season serves as roughly a 10 year period starting from when Queen Elizabeth II takes reign. As someone who doesn't often like change in series, this show has one of the most seamless transitions from each episode. Some episodes serves as a social commentary that isn't preachy. If you enjoy realistic fiction with scandals and drama this show is for you. I urge everyone to get through the entire first two episodes before deciding to drop the show as they serve as the setup for the rest of the story and background info for people like myself who go into this without any knowledge about the royals and monarchy. It is rated 90% on rotten tomatoes.

Lucifer

This show is definitely worth binging. All the seasons are super interesting and the show gets better with each season. It has fantasy, drama, romance, action and humor. And the best part is the depth with which the show debates the dilemma between fate and choice, between free will and faith. And overall, it would keep you hooked but also give you the feels. It is rated 88% on rotten tomatoes.

The Vampire Diaries

This show is one of my favorite TV series
and it always will be. The moment you start watching the first episode, you wont stop until you finish it. The show is so addictive, I could spend hours watching it without getting bored. This show is everything packed in one - a supernatural setting with a dash of high school drama, action, thrill, sci-fi and big time lessons on love, family and friendship at it's core. So if you are interested in the world of vampires, werewolves, witches, doppelgangers, and beyond, then definitely do not miss this show. It consists of 8 seasons, though it is lengthy you will never feel bored. Almost every episode ends with a twist and builds up curiosity to watch the next episode. It is rated 86% on rotten tomatoes.

The 100

This is most definitely one of the best TV shows I've watched. Continually challenging my reasoning on leadership decisions and taking responsibilities, especially when one is faced with few or no options. Lots of gritty moments, full of suspense, and you would always anticipate something would go wrong, even while trying to keep, and negotiate for peace. It is set ninety-seven years after a nuclear war has destroyed civilization, when a spaceship housing humanity's lone survivors sends one hundred juvenile delinquents back to earth, in hopes of possibly re-populating the planet. It is rated 93% on rotten tomatoes.

The Office

There is no doubt that this is the best sitcom you will ever watch. I've watched a lot of series and I can strongly tell you that this has been the best. This masterpiece provides laughs and makes viewers feel a strong connection with the characters. As the show is delivered in the form of a documentary, we get to see how life changes for the employees of Dunder Mufflin Scranton. This is the most remarkable and hilarious workplace comedy that has been created since 2005 unarguably. I watched all nine seasons in less than a week and I wondered how this show kept me so relaxed and wanting more and more from these characters as the story lines kept me hooked on the ever changing plot. The writers marvelously twisted the flow of the show adding suspense, a little bit of drama, romance, jokes, a whole lot of insanely funny pranks, and it really bonded me with the characters. The main character of the show "Michael Scott" added something to the show that I find in-explainable. I've watched it more than ten times now and what makes it special is that you can never get bored of it. It is rated 81% on rotten tomatoes.

The Blacklist

I was reluctant to start watching the series, but once I did I was hooked within the first few minutes. Well thought out episodes that appear to be unrelated but for the main characters and yet everything that happens becomes a part of a greater, ever fluid extremely addictive story. The blacklist is hands down the best crime drama on TV today. It is a must see if you want to have a marvelous good time watching some of the best cast of characters negotiate their way while riding the coattails of a master criminal with a good heart. It is rated 91% on rotten tomatoes.

Gotham

This series is absolutely enjoyable, the story line, the plot and almost every character is cast so well. Through the stories we get to see how Gotham ended up to the state it was when batman shows up. We get to see what influenced young Bruce Wayne to be the man he became as an adult. Gotham is the best batman series I've seen. If you're a longtime batman fan that has read the comics or just someone wanting to get started this show is great for you. It gives the back story of each character meaning and makes you actually understand why the riddler, penguin, scarecrow and many other characters are the way they are. It is rated 77% on rotten tomatoes.

Peaky Blinders

This series has everything from crime, to drama, to sorrow, to opening up your mind on a whole new level. Peaky blinders stands out from other gangster series, the cinematography is amazing, it keeps you interested and on the edge the entire time. This series will grab your attention and make you indulge and addicted towards it in a very short period of time. Peaky blinders takes on an odyssey of crime, money, power, politics that you've never been on. The marvelous cinematography makes the whole series an artists canvas. In the deepest sorrow, you could find the sheer calmness; at the same time, in the happiest, you would be struck with sudden melancholy.
It is rated 92% on rotten tomatoes.

Modern Family

Modern family is a hilarious comedy show where each episode has you clutching at your sides and roaring with laughter. It revolves around the perspectives of three connected families, not only by blood but by their unhindered and unconditional love towards one another.

Each episode has a meaningful message disguised by witty antics and relatable situations that we might find ourselves in. The show is eleven seasons long and is definitely binge-worthy. It is rated 85% on rotten tomatoes.

The Queens Gambit

This show, while concise, is both compelling in it's theme and is at the same time a directional masterpiece. It takes something that is generally perceived as boring, chess, and with it's brilliant pacing and terminologies understandable by everyone. Along with nicks of cinematography, it delivers a piece that is enjoyable by both who takes interest in watching shows/movies as well as the classic game. The very well paced show, with it's perfect runtime is neither too long nor too short, while not being too little or a little too detailed. It balances the concept of chess that could be considered too theoretical for theatrics, with it's highly refined script writing and directional melodrama, giving it both a technical and an emotional edge which Anya Taylor-Joy has consistently held herself up to and delivered. It is rated 96% on rotten tomatoes.
